50,000 Words - 30 Days

Okay, so maybe I'm nuts.
I'm 18 weeks pregnant and I'm planning to write a 50,000-word novel over the month of June.

I was totally thrilled to discover Camp NaNoWriMo, the not-in-November version of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). Since I'm due to have a newborn this November, I didn't think I would get a chance to try this crazy challenge, but Camp NaNo is exactly the same, only held in June and August. Profoundly delightful idea!
We'll see how it goes since I'm pregnant and still a bit green at times, but I am thrilled to begin this challenge tomorrow!
Is anyone else participating? See ya at camp!

    1. Thanks, Lisa! :)
Do you remember me telling you about NaNoWriMo? It was when we were discussing the tendency to rewrite as you go.

    2. I do remember it :) It is something I would still love to do at some point, but I am absolutely swamped right now. I finished school and thought I'd have all this free time...yyeeeaahhhh right! My photography is *taking off*. I am over my head...but very excited!!

    3. Oh, good for you! Your photograph is so nice; I'm glad you're getting opportunities!
Someday you can bring both interests together when you write a book and publish it with an awesome cover photo! :D

  2. Hi Perry! I'm glad to see you posting again - things got kind of quiet and I was worried.
Hmmm... looks fun! I just might have to join in :)

    1. Yes, I know it looked like I fell off the planet for a little while there. I didn't though, honest. ;)
Ooo!! Let me know if by chance you end up joining the June challenge. Maybe we could request to be in the same "cabin" if ya like!

  4. Go for it! I can't wait to hear updates on your progress. :) I won't be able to do it this summer - timing clashes with publishing Peter's Angel. Have fun!

    1. I most certainly will have fun! I was bouncing ideas off Tyler last night while making dinner. I think he found my creative process amusing. ;) Do you think you will do NaNo in November?

  5. I wish I could join! I really can't though. :( I have an unexpected rewrite, another book to finish... and even though I just came up with a "great" idea for a new book, I really need to focus on those "almost done" projects right now. Oh and my blog.

I should e-mail you and tell you the crazy thing I just got myself into with my writing. I'm excited and thinking I'm nuts at the same time. :p

Hope you have fun with the writing challenge! :)

To the KING be all the glory!

"I'm excited and thinking I'm nuts at the same time." -Sounds familiar! ;)
