When Inspiration Strikes (and causes sleep-deprivation)

An idea woke me up at 1:30 this morning. It kept me awake until I jotted it down in my ideas book. (Do you have one of those? Seriously, everyone should have one of those. It can save your sanity!)

The idea came with a pretty complete plot and an opening. I worked out a rather wordy logline this morning.

Here's the opening, just for grins...

Compared to the rest of the world, the kingdom of [???] was like a teacup, and everyone down to the lowliest peasant knew it. Even those who had never ventured beyond their own town had done so in the many books they read, and they knew a great deal about the world and its workings. The entire population was like one gigantic, collective bookworm.
This is why, when the Book Snatchers first came, everyone was delighted...

  1. Oh yes! I most certainly have an ideas book. (Compressed of various notebooks & any piece of paper I can snatch to write upon.) *grins*

    1. Awesome! It's so fun to have them all safely stored away for future reference. ;)

The Book Snatchers? Sounds like a group of Villains to me. :D

Yes, you would think they'd be an unsavory bunch. But apparently everyone was delighted at first...
